Fan Programs

For all of you summer brides - if you are having an outdoor wedding, or in a locale with no air conditioning, consider using fans as your programs. They are super cute and your guests will thank you for giving them a way to cool off! The fan program below is double sided and uses a wood handle. The edges were round cornered to mimick the curves of the handle. Wrap Labels!

The latest trend in addressing envelopes is using wrap labels. They wrap from the front of the envelope to the back, with your guests' name on one side, and your return address on the other side. They can be wrapped around the right or the left side of the envelope, whichever your preference. It's a great way to tie in the design of your invitation, since the envelope is the very first thing your guests will see. Ask about them when you order your invitations!

Katherine and Scott

Here are some shots of a recent sample we did for Katherine and Scott in Louisville. They are using a vintage theme with ivory, peach and gold. They picked out one of our pocket invitations, then we added a custom monogram and envelope liner to dress it up. Also shown in this sample is computerized calligraphy on the outer envelope to match the font used on the invitation.

Polka Dots!

Here are the polka dot invitations we did for Amie and Marc in Indianapolis. Amie brought us some photos of invitations she liked and most of them had polka dots and we could tell she loved them, so we used them as her theme. Her colors were hot pink, black, and white. We did a custom design for her including bringing the polka dots to her stepped insert cards. The whole ensemble included a black pocket invitation, 3 insert cards, and a black outer envelope lined with our polka dot design.

Happy New Year everyone!We hope that 2011 will be as great as 2010 was, it was a great year for JDK, our biggest accomplishment was winning The Knot's 2011 Best of Weddings for wedding invitations. The reviews we got were from 2010, but we get bragging rights in 2011! We got so many raving reviews from past clients, and we continue to get referrals from all of them which is so great for us!

Over last weekend, I met with 2 couples over the weekend, Lisa & Jamie (who I found out went to Ball State like me!) and Jacquelyn and Jason. They both had some great color schemes already picked out - purple, pink, & orange and pink, light pink, black & white, respectively. Both couples loved the pocket invitations and had a hard time narrowing down which one to use from out many pocket styles! Pockets are still very popular due to their organized look.
